Margaret Ann Higgins, 66, Nekoosa, a Stevens Point native, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2016.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover, with Deacon Vern Linzmeier officiating. Burial will be in Meehan Cemetery in the town of Plover.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from at 9 a.m. Tuesday until the service.

Mrs. Higgins was born Nov. 25, 1950, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late John and Agnes (Betro) Rutta. She was a 1969 graduate of
P.J. Jacobs High School.

She was married to Gary L. Higgins Oct. 14, 1972, at St.
Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. He died in 2005.

Mrs. Higgins worked at Okray Family Farms in Plover, then
worked at McCain Foods for more than 20 years before retiring.

Survivors include two daughters, Anna (Brad) Freeman, Wisconsin
Rapids, and Katy (Chad) Albro, Texas; one son, Jesse Higgins, Nekoosa; three
brothers, Ray (Lee) Rutta, Plover, Ervin (Donna) Rutta, Stevens Point, and
James (Sally) Rutta, Plover; one sister, Loretta (James) Sankey, Stevens Point;
12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and
Ronald; and one sister, Lorraine.
