David J. Gburek, 78, Mosinee, brother of a Plover man, died
Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at Ministry St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston.


Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at St. Paul
Catholic Church in Mosinee, with the Rev. Donald Przybylski officiating. Burial
will be in St. Paul Cemetery.


Visitation will be at Beste Funeral Home in Mosinee, from 4
to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, with a rosary service at 3:30 p.m., and again at the
funeral home from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m.

Mr. Gburek was born March 9, 1938, a son of the late Joseph
and Sophia (Pawlik) Gburek.


He was married to Sandy Gotski Oct. 8, 1960, in the town of
Mosinee. She died April 14, 2005.


He was married to Barbara Stefanska May 3, 2008, at St. Paul
Catholic Church in Mosinee.


After growing up on a farm, he became a truck driver for
Dahlman Truck Line in Stevens Point. Once his family came along, he returned to
dairy farming in Knowlton until he retired in 1993. After the farm was gone, he
went back on the road, driving for Blue Eagle Trucking almost to his last days.


Survivors include his wife, Barbara; four sons, Mark (Cindy)
Gburek, Las Vegas, Nev., and Joseph Gburek, Gary (Jacki) Gburek and Alan
Gburek, all of Mosinee; one daughter, Lisa (Alan) Cherek, Mosinee; one stepson,
Jon Pawel (Emilia) Zacharczuk, Poland; three brothers, Clarence (Audrey)
Gburek, Marengo, Ill., Alfred Gburek, Plover, and Jerome Gburek, Oregon; two
sisters, Anita (Myron) Kedrowski, Reseda, Calif., and Jean Conrad, Oregon; 10 grandchildren;
three stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.


He was also preceded in death by one son, Todd Gburek; one
daughter, Michele Schultz; two brothers, James and Norman; and one sister,
Sally.
