Turn It Down: A caller reported loud music from a home on the 2100 block of Clark St. When police arrived to ask the occupant to turn the music down, a 21-year-old man in the home slammed the door in officers’ faces. The man was later cited.
Late Night Trespasser: A 39-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass to dwelling after a woman on Green Ave. said he attempted to enter her home at 1:07 AM.
Suspicious Panhandler: A 59-year-old woman called deputies to report a suspicious 33-year-old woman came to her Skyline Dr. home at 1:28 PM to ask for money after her trailer home allegedly burned down.
Truancy: A 17-year-old girl was cited for being truant from SPASH at 8:08 AM.
Can’t Stop Breaking the Law: Police arrested a 52-year-old man near I-39 and Hwy. 66 at 2:35 PM on a warrant arrest and three counts of bail-jumping. He was also cited for operating while revoked.
Possible Abuse: Police were called to investigate a report of possible abuse after a six-year-old girl reported to her father that she’s been struck with a belt at daycare.

Disturbance: Police arrested a 41-year-old man on a probation hold after a caller reported a disturbance between the man and a 34-year-old woman near Main St. and Strongs Ave. at 1:08 AM.
Nearly a ‘Cat’astrophe: Portage Co. dispatchers received a 911 call at 9:04 AM from a home on the 100 block of Laconia St. in Amherst. A 52-year-old woman in the home told deputies her cat had inadvertently dialed the number by stepping on her phone.
OWI: A 27-year-old man was cited for OWI near Rice and Mary streets at 2:08 AM.
Cat Fight On the Highway: Police responded to a fight between three girls, ages 16 and 17, on I-39 near the N. Bus. 51 ramp at 7:11 PM. The case was referred to the DA’s office for formal charges.
Bad Bicyclist: Deputies warned a 39-year-old man for weaving between traffic on his bicycle at 6:51 PM. The man was warned for his bicycling behavior and for not having a light on his bicycle.
Burglary: A 30-year-old man was arrested for attempted to force entry into a building on the 3400 block of Church St. at 11:16 PM.
Dec. 4
Mailbox Fatality: A 68-year-old man called police to report someone damaged the mailbox at his Clark St. home at 5:10 PM.
Not a Fake Call: Police were called to the 4900 block of Hummingbird Ln. at 6:06 PM by two parents, ages 51 and 49, because their 11-year-old son was “not listening” to them.
Stolen Car: A 23-year-old woman called police to report someone had taken her vehicle, a 2013 Nissan Altima valued at $12,000, from where it was parked on the 2100 block of Maple St. at 6:38 PM.
