Louisa V. Altmann

Louisa V. Altmann, 92, Marshfield,
a former farmer in the town of Milladore
in Wood County,
died
at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care in Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
Friday, Dec. 16, at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Blenker, with the Rev. Jesse
Burish officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from

Mrs. Altman was born Nov. 30,
Wood County, a daughter of the late Peter and Monica (Altmann) Ashbeck. She was
educated at St. Kilian Parochial School in Blenker.
She was married to Walter “Bob” Altmann April 17, 1944, at
St. Kilian Catholic Church in Blenker. They were married for 66 years before
his death Oct. 19, 2010.
She was a lifelong member of St. Kilian Catholic Church and
St. Kilian’s Altar Society.
She farmed with her husband in the town of Milladore,
retiring in 1985.
Survivors include two children, Vernon Altmann, Cumberland,
and June (Dennis) Kusta, Blenker; one sister, Loretta Aschenbrenner; six
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter-in-law,
Marlene Altmann; four brothers; and four sisters.
