Wayne D. Domres, 66, town of Bevent in Marathon County, a former Stevens Point resident and father of three Portage County men, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau after complications with heart surgery.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Wausau Alliance Church in Wausau, with the Rev. Greg Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau.

Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the services.

A memorial has been established in his name

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Wausau assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.petersonkraemer.com.

Mr. Domres was born Nov. 24, 1950, in Wausau, a son of the
late Marian (Hall) and Alvin Domres.

He was married to Lanae Totsch June 10, 1972.

After he graduated from Northcentral Technical College in
auto mechanics, he worked for Cooper Motors in Stevens Point as a mechanic and
for Sentry Insurance as supervisor of the auto center. In 1995 he started his
own business remodeling homes, which continued until he retired in 2015.

He built two family homes, the first in Stevens Point and
the current home in Rosholt.

Survivors include his wife, Lanae; three sons, Nathan and
Paul, both of Rosholt, and Todd, Stevens Point; and one sister, Lynn (Bruce)
Buhmann, Wausau.
