Local Schools to Dismiss Two Hours Early

The Stevens Point School District is releasing students from class two hours early on Friday, Dec. 16 due to weather.
Officials with the district say the decision was made shortly before 11 AM on Friday, and are currently arranging busing for students who regularly ride the bus home.
SPASH students are being released at 12:58 PM; students from public junior high schools, and all Catholic schools, are being released at 12:55 PM.
Public elementary school students are being released at 1:35 PM.
Emergency management officials from Portage Co. say up to 12 inches of snow is expected through Saturday morning. Motorists are used to use caution, and to stay off the roads if possible.
