Lillian F. Sliva
Lillian F. Sliva, 87, Nekoosa, formerly of Stevens Point, died
Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
A graveside committal service will be held in the spring at
the New Rome Cemetery on Lake Petenwell in the Adams County town of Rome.
Pisarski Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Plover assisted

Mrs. Sliva was born Aug. 20, 1929, in Milwaukee, a daughter
of Stevens Point natives, the late Edwin and Frances (Meronk) Pehoski. The
family moved to Stevens Point, and she was a 1947 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High
School in Stevens Point.
She was married to Frank “Fritz” Sliva Aug. 8, 1950, at St.
Martin Catholic Church in Ellis. He died Sept. 21, 1984.
She and her husband owned and operated the Terrace Gardens
night club in Wisconsin Rapids in the 1960s, and she had also worked in medical
records at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point for 30 years before retiring
She made knitting and crocheting items for the Senior Craft
Shoppe and nursing homes in Wisconsin Rapids. She and her husband bartended for
the Daytona 500 back in the 1970s.
Survivors include one daughter, LaDon (Pete) Jacoby,
Nekoosa; one grandson, Peter (Jean) Jacoby II, Stevens Point; and two great-grandchildren,
Peter III and Amelia Jacoby.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert
