St. Brons Distributes Holiday Baskets to 60+ Families

For the City Times
Dozens braved bone-chilling cold on Dec. 18 to distribute holiday food baskets to 65 needy families in Plover.
For the 28th consecutive year, St. Bronislava Parish participated in the Holiday Basket Project coordinated by Operation Bootstrap.
Each delivery included three-to-five boxes filled with food for a Christmas meal, toiletries, gift cards & gas cards. Parish members donated items the weeks prior, with final packaging done Saturday and Sunday.
“It was a very cold day but brought cheer to those less fortunate,” said Gary Oudenhoven, delivery co-coordinator & parish member.
Several of the parish youth assembled boxes, sorted food and helped pack the vehicles of the volunteer drivers.
