The Riverfront Arts Center is now accepting submissions for the 13th annual Winter’s Garden juried exhibition of botanical, floral and garden inspired art. Artists may submit artwork on Jan. 3 and Jan. 4, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Riverfront Arts Center (RAC) in Stevens Point.

An opening reception for the show will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 20, at the Center. The exhibit will be open until Feb. 19.

Artists 18 and older may submit up to three pieces of artwork with a $5, non-refundable, entry fee per artwork required at the time of delivery. Artwork is a flora and/or garden theme of the artist’s own interpretation and imagination.

Artists are encouraged to think outside the box, as any type of media and medium (fabric, sculpture, painting, photography, etc.) will be accepted.

Oversize constraints may be limited for acceptance, so call the Riverfront Art Center for information prior to submitting.

All artwork must arrive ready to hang or install. Artwork submitted must not have been previously exhibited at the RAC.

Submission guidelines and entry forms are available on the RAC website stevenspoint.com/rac or at the RAC, 1200 Crosby Ave., Stevens Point.

The exhibition includes a live plant sale that is a fundraiser for the RAC. Winter’s Garden is a community favorite, garden oasis in the midst of the central Wisconsin winter and an opportunity to have work displayed alongside local and regional artists.

The Riverfront Arts Center is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is closed Mondays and holidays. The center is open free of charge to the public.

For more information, call 715-343-6251 or visit the website at StevensPoint.com/RAC, and follow on Facebook and Instagram.
