Learn, grow with winter gardening seminars

By Nick Schultz – Special to The Gazette
Sorry for adding stress to your holidays, but you might as well know: Area gardeners are going to have to make a tough choice this winter. Two great gardening seminars are occurring on the same day.
Master Gardener Volunteers in both Portage County and North Central Wisconsin chose Saturday, Jan. 21, for their annual seminars. If you like to learn more about gardening and escape winter for a day, you’ll want to go to the one that most piques your interest.
Garden Dreams will be held at the Lettie Jensen Community Center in Amherst Jan. 21. Three terrific presentations are planned on landscape design, beekeeping and prairie plants for pollinator gardens.
