Geraldine E. Wierzba

Geraldine Elizabeth Wierzba, 79, Plover, died Sunday, Dec.
25, 2016, at Maple Ridge Memory Care Center in Plover while under the care of
Ministry Home Care Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday,
Dec. 30, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Jeffrey
Hennes officiating. Burial will be in the St. Adalbert Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until
the Mass. There will be a parish rosary prayed at 10 a.m. Friday in the church.
The Pisarski Community Funeral Home and Cremation Center in

Mrs. Wierzba was born Aug. 18, 1937, on the family homestead
in the town of Alban, a daughter of the late Peter N. and Stella E. (Wanta)
Wrycza. She attended St. Adalbert Grade School and graduated from Rosholt High
School.
She was married to Joseph J. Wierzba Sept. 28, 1957, at St.
Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt.
After the marriage, the couple settled in Rosholt for more
than 50 years, moving to Plover in 2015.
She worked for the Rosholt School District and the Wisconsin
Lions Camp in their dietary areas until her retirement in 1995.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph; one daughter, Doreen
(Randall) Ehrenberg, Waupaca; one son, Dwayne (Kathie) Wierzba, Plover; two
sisters, Gladys Drewa, Chicago, Ill., and Rosaline Pochinski, Milwaukee; four
brothers, Robert (Delphine) Wrycza, Waterford, Peter (Delores) Wyrcza, Rosholt,
Roger (Pat) Wrycza, Stevens Point, and James (Kathy) Wrycza, Custer; five
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey;
and one sister, Celia.
