Lorraine B. Kresh, of Stevens Point, died January 1, 2017 at the Atrium Care Center.

Lorraine was born to the late Albert and Bertha (Paetsch) Wood on October 15, 1925 in Stevens Point, Wis.

She attended Campus School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1943. Lorraine took a course at Gregg Business College in Chicago, Ill. in 1943 and worked in Chicago for the Telephone Publishing Company.

She married Frank Kresh in Stevens Point on June 8, 1944. He preceded her in death in 2006.

After her marriage, Lorraine returned to Stevens Point and was employed by Hardware Mutual (Sentry Insurance) in Detroit and Stevens Point until 1960. In 1973, Lorraine became employed by the City of Stevens Point Police Department as an assistant records administrator until retiring in January of 1995.

Lorraine enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, reading, and playing with the Grenadiers Band.

Survivors include her children, Susan of Stevens Point, Donald (Cynthia) of Wisconsin Rapids, and James of Wabasha, Minn.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Alberta (Lawrence) Glenzer; and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; and daughter, Kathy.

A Time of Visitation and Sharing of Memories will be held on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 from 1 AM to 11 AM at Boston Funeral Home. A Funeral Service to honor her life will follow at 11 AM.

A private family interment will take place in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Wis.
