Mary A. Bennett, 79, Stevens Point, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at the Care Partners in Stevens Point.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Guerrero officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Corners Cemetery in the town of Buena Vista.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon Monday until the service.

Mrs. Bennett was born Feb. 22, 1937, in Tony, Wis., a
daughter of the late Louis and Agnes (Boibar) Galetka. She was raised in the
Coloma and Bancroft areas and attended Almond High School.

She was married to Evan Smith in June 1961. They divorced in
1974.

She was married to Kyrle Bennett in 1979. They later
divorced.

Survivors include two nieces, Vicki (Gary) Schoenbeck,
Elkhorn, and Tammy Sterken, Delavan; one son, Brian Smith, Stevens Point; one daughter,
Diane (JD) Disher, Junction City; two brothers, Charles (Lois) Galetka, Neillsville,
and Paul (Janet) Galetka, Ocala, Fla.; one adopted granddaughter, Cheyenne
Chase, Manitowoc; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Smith;
five siblings, Steve, Helen, Anna, Emily and Louis; and one granddaughter.
