Edwin N. Klismith, age 79, of Stockton passed away Jan. 1, 2017.

Ed was born Nov. 5, 1937 on the Klismith Family Farm in the Town of Stockton, Portage County, the son of the late Frank and Mary (Kruzitski) Klismith.

A Mass of a Christian Burial for Ed will be at 11 AM Friday Jan. 6, 2017 at Holy Spirit Parish. Rev. Thomas Lindner will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM on Friday at church.

Ed attended the Stockton one-room school house for 2 years. He graduated eighth grade at St. Stanislaus School in Stevens Point. Ed attended high school and at that time it was P.J. Jacobs High School.

Ed worked for his brothers on the Klismith farms. He later worked in Joerns Furniture Factory and took concertina lessons. He played in the Ray Shuda Band for many weddings and dances. He also entertained family and friends with his music.

Ed came from a family of 10 children — four brothers and five sisters. He loved to visit with his aunts and uncles and was very much interested in what they would tell him. Ed had a great memory and could remember specific dates of certain events. Ed’s family would also like to thank Corrine Dombrowski of Tender Loving Care for her 10 years of care given to Ed.

Ed is survived by his sisters Amelia Glodoski and Betty Skierka. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Regina Prondzinski, Leona Bembenek and Kathleen Prondzinski; and his brothers Henry, Ben, Frank and Ray.
