Stevens Point’s own Patrick Testin was one of four freshman state senators to take the oath of office on Jan. 3.
Testin was elected last Nov. after beating longtime incumbent Sen. Julie Lassa by a vote of 45,139 to 41,091. He will chair the Committee on Workforce Development, Military Affairs, & Senior Issues.
Testin will hold an inaugural event on Friday, Jan. 13 at 10 AM in the Portage Co. Annex. The ceremony will be conducted by Portage Co. Circuit Court Judge Robert Shannon and is open to the public.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve my neighbors in Central Wisconsin,” Testin said in an email.
The Portage Co. Annex is located at 1462 Strongs Avenue.
