Gordon A. ‘Skip’ Berto
Gordon A. “Skip” Berto, 73, Hancock, died Saturday, Jan. 7,
2017, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 14, in
the Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Saturday
until the services.

Mr. Berto was born Dec. 6, 1943, in Milwaukee, a son of the
late Gordon and Lois (Koplien) Berto. When he was 9 years old, the family moved
to Waupaca. The family spent time visiting relatives in Amherst weekly and at
the Berto cabin in Eagle River.
He was married to Nancy Selig in Sheridan, Wyo., in 1969.
They later divorced.
He was married to Brenda Buckland in 1979. They later

He was employed by Plainfield Trucking for many years as an

and Shannon (Greg) Beckett, Binghamton, N.Y.; six siblings, Tom (Edie) Berto,
Arn (Helen) Berto, Donna (Larry) Hansen, Karen (Sandy) Straw, Rhonda (Todd)
Utermoehlen and John (Shawn) Berto; and seven grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Niala; one
brother, Ken; one sister-in-law, Andrea; and two grandchildren.
