Marthel ‘Muff’ Hainzlsperger
Marthel Farrell “Muff” Hainzlsperger, 84, died Monday, Jan.
9, 2017, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14,
at Shuda Plover Funeral Home in Plover, with Pastor Ben Sheets officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Saturday
until the services.

Mrs. Hainzlperger was born May 20, 1932, in Janesville, a
daughter of the late Ralph and Farrell (Clark) Scheel. Her parents moved to the
Colby area and owned a cheese factory, and then in the mid-1940s, the family
moved to Abbotsford where they ran the Abby Café. She worked as a waitress
while in high school. She graduated from Abbotsford High School in May 1950.
She was married to LeRoy L. Hainzlsperger Aug. 19, 1950.
After the marriage, they moved to Alaska when her husband was
stationed there in the U.S. Army, then back to Wisconsin because of his trucking
career, finally settling in Stevens Point in the mid-1950s.
She was a homemaker for many years, taking waitress jobs periodically.
She also worked as a seamstress. Later, when her children were older, she went
to technical school for business classes and worked for Delta Dental in the

children, Rhonda Hainzlsperger, Clark (Debbie) Hainzlsperger and Kaye (Rick)
Niemi; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Nicky Scheel
Nolan, who died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017.
