Ruth R. Suchon

Ruth R. Suchon, 84, Stevens Point, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at the Portage County Health Care Center.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, with a rosary prayed at 7 p.m. and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.

Mrs. Suchon was born July 11, 1932, in Custer, a daughter of
the late Ernest and Mary (Kropidlowski) Groholski.
She was married to Anton Suchon Oct. 14, 1950, at St. Joseph
Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
She was employed by Marathon Bait & Tackle from 1952 to
1986. In 1960, she and her husband purchased and ran Tony & Ruth’s Bar in
Plover until they sold it in 1963 and moved back to Stevens Point.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Anton; one son,
David (Donna) Suchon; Stevens Point, one daughter, Debra (David) Giese, Stevens
Point; four sisters, Josephine Bungert, Lucille (John) Herman, Marion (Hank)
Shirek and Patricia (Butch Lind) Glen; one brother, Greg Groholski, Stevens
Point; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Pearl (Jerry)
Shuda; and one brother, Ernie Groholski.
