Doris E. Johnson, 98, Plainfield, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017,
at the Portage County Health Care Center in Stevens Point.

Memorial services will be scheduled in May.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Catholic Church in
Plainfield or the Portage County Health Care Center in Stevens Point.

Mrs. Johnson was born May 22, 1918, in the town of Oasis in
Waushara County, the third of five children of the late Enoch and Clara
(Jaragoski) Chelewski.

She was married to Merritt Johnson March 26, 1940. He died April
29, 1994, after 54 years of marriage.

Survivors include one daughter, Clara Baker, Stevens Point; four
granddaughters, Teresa McIntee (Mark) Bruno, Pebble Beach, Calif., Teona
(Robert Bailey) Baker, Bakersfield, Calif., Gail Doss, Kentucky, Mellanie
Cornet, North Carolina, and Marguerite Quinlan, Kentucky; six great-grandchildren;
and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Vroman
and Blanch Walsh; and one brother, Enoch “Bud” Chelewski; and three nephews.
