Irving J. Rutkowski, 83, Rosholt, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017,
at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at
St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until
Shuda Funeral Services & Crematory in Stevens Point and

Mr. Rutkowski was born Dec. 1, 1933, in Shantytown, a son of
the late Nick and Iva (Bentley) Rutkowski.
After graduating from high school, he entered the U.S. Navy
Dec. 8, 1955, in Chicago, Ill. He served until his honorable discharge Sept. 4,
1957, in San Diego, Calif.
He settled in Milwaukee and worked in Milwaukee until his
retirement in 1989, when he then returned to Shantytown.
Survivors include four children, Steven (Diane) Rutkowski,
Phoenix, Ariz., Martin Rutkowski, Slinger, Tammy Rutkowski, Milwaukee, and Ward
(Gail) Rutkowski, Hartford; four sisters, Patty Bleyer, Stevens Point, Lorraine
(Ben) Tuskowski and Carol Zick, both of Shantytown, and Arlene Gronewald,
Anchorage, Alaska; one brother, Ralph Rutkowski, Shantytown; and three
