Alex D. Peplinski Jr.
Alex David Peplinski Jr., 86, Wisconsin Rapids, a former Stevens Point resident, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Arborview Court.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. James Altman officiating. Entombment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Green Bay.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass.

Mr. Peplinski was born Feb. 7, 1930, in Milwaukee, a son of
the late Alexander and Wanda (Glodowski) Peplinski Sr. The family moved to the
Stevens Point area, and he graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1957.
He was married to Sally Lui Sept. 7, 1979, at the Chapel of
the Lady Good Health in Green Bay.
He worked as a manager in the family business at Pep’s Café
in Amherst. He also worked at the Port Edwards Paper Mill in the beater room
for several years until his retirement.
He had his own Taylorcraft airplane and was a member of the
Wisconsin Rapids, Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and attended many EAA
conventions in Oshkosh.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; five siblings, Robert
(Cheryl) Peplinski, Big Bend, Jean Brzezinski, Wausau, and Sister Jeanett
Peplinski, Sister Clairann Peplinski and Annette Horvath, all of Green Bay.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Delores Pierce.
