Irving J. Rutkowski, age 83 of Rosholt, passed away Monday, Jan., 16, 2017 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.

Funeral services for Irving will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of services Saturday at the church. Shuda Funeral Services are assisting the family.

Irving was born December 1, 1933 in Shantytown, the son of Nick and Iva (Bentley) Rutkowski. After graduating high school Irving entered the United States Navy December 8, 1955 in Chicago, he served his country until his honorable discharge September 4, 1957 in San Diego.

After his honorable discharge he settled in Milwaukee. He worked in Milwaukee until his retirement in 1989, when he then returned to Shantytown. Irving’s greatest enjoyment were his grandchildren.

He is survived by his four children: Steven (Diane) Rutkowski, Phoenix; Martin Rutkowski, Slinger; Tammy Rutkowski, Milwaukee; Ward (Gail) Rutkowski, Hartford. Three grandchildren: RaeLynn, Canton, Mich.; Jacob and Megan, Hartford.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his ex-wife: Bernice.
