August “Gary” Wanta Jr., 78, Bevent, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at his home.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent, with the Rev. Roy Witucki officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Mr. Wanta was born March 7, 1938, in the town of Bevent, a son
of the late August and Regina (Cychosz) Wanta Sr.

He was married to Caroline Pochinski in January 1966.

He worked for Patrick Cudahy for more than 44 years.

He was a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent.

Survivors include his wife, Caroline; four children, Melvin
Wanta, Milwaukee, Daniel Wanta, California, David Wanta, Waukesha, and June
(Roger) Kuklinski, Hatley; two sisters, Louise (Phil) Stemo and Terenia (Harry)
Gruna; one brother, Ambrose (Rita) Wanta; and two grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and
Tony; and one sister, Loretta Ostrowski.
