David B. Vandre
David Bruce Vandre, 73, Almond, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2017,
at home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at
Woodlands Church, 190 Hoover Ave., Plover, with Brian Berg of Woodlands Church
officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Plover Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday.

Mr. Vandre was born Jan. 14, 1944, in Enid, Okla., a son of
the late George John and Essie Faye (Welch) Vandre. He graduated from Wausau
High School in 1963.
He was married to Mary Ann Burgener Oct. 21, 1967, in
Merrill.
They raised two children.
He worked as a salesman and manager for AmeriGas for 20
years before retiring at the age of 64.
He met his fiancée Bonnie Reabe Rosenthal in June 1992.
He served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne.
He was involved in American Legion Post 339 and served as
the Portage County Commander. In his younger years, he was part of the Junction
City Volunteer Fire Department and the Lions Club.
Survivors include his fiancée, Bonnie Reabe Rosenthal; one
son, Duane (Susan); one daughter, Crystal (Kevin Gruber); two brothers, Wayne
(Karen), Merrill, and Stuart (Sheryl), Merritt Island, Fla.; three sisters,
Nita (David Haas), Homosassa, Fla., and Lavonna (Steve Young) and Faye, both of
Merrill; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
