Geraldine “Gerry” Bembenek, 89, Rosholt, died Tuesday, Jan.
24, 2017, at her home after a lengthy history of an aortic aneurysm.


A celebration of life service will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday,
Jan. 28, at the Shuda – Plover Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bembenek was born Aug. 6, 1927, in Milwaukee, a
daughter of the late Walter and Teresa “Tessie” (Ryczek) Bierowski.


She was married to Robert J. Bembenek Sr. Jan. 4, 1947, at
the Basilica of St. Josephat in Milwaukee. He died Dec. 26, 2010.


They moved to the Plover area and resided in Plover for most
of their lives, moving to the Rosholt area in their later years.


Survivors include five children, Robert Jr. “Bob” (Elaine),
Plover, Rose Ann (Robert) Czerwonka, Shingle Springs, Calif., Michael P.
(Cheri), Custer, Marilyn (Terry) Lewis, Plover, and Steven M. Bembenek, Rosholt;
13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Peggy
Bierowski, Georgia, and Sharon Bierowski, Green Bay.


She was also preceded in death by one brother, Reiner “Ray”
Walter Bierowski; her stepmother, Sophie Bierowski; one stepbrother, Norman
Bierowski; one stepsister, Barbara Tolan; one grandson; and one
great-granddaughter.
