Margaret H. Kulich, age 87, of Plover, died peacefully January 24, 2017 at the Portage County Health Care Center.

Marge was born October 10, 1929 to the late Otto and Anna (Mueller) Wirth in the town of Eau Plaine. She grew up in the Stevens Point area, attended the local grade schools, and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1948.

Following high school, Marge moved to Milwaukee to work for Briggs and Stratton but later returned to Stevens Point to get married.

She married Raymond Kulich October, 20 1951 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Marge worked for the Blue Top Restaurant and later at the North Side Bar as a waitress. Marge and Raymond bought the Skip Inn Tavern. They renamed it Chiefs Bar and operated the business for 15 years before selling it in 1978. Marge worked at Erzinger’s Kiddy Korner retail store until finding employment at Copps grocery store. She worked there for 15 years, retiring in 1995.

Marge will be remembered for her ability to remain busy and active throughout her life. Family was extremely important to her, especially her grandchildren; she loved buying them clothing. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed being involved with the alter guild and the Young At Heart. She was also a member of the local American Legion Auxiliary. Marge enjoyed helping those in need with their grocery shopping. In her spare time, she enjoyed walking, fishing, playing cards, bingo, cribbage, and occasionally testing her luck on a slot machine. Marge also enjoyed extensive travel; especially with her children. Her family will relish the many memorable experiences and the time shared together.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Mark) Spreda, Debbie (Dave) McMahon, Chris (Mike) Derezinski, Ken (Sheila) Kulich, and Scott (Jackie) Kulich; grandchildren, Missie (Nate) Jakusz, Adam McMahon (Katie); Holly (Mike Godfrey) Derezinski, Megan (Joe) Steffen, Michael (Stephanie) Derezinski, Brittney (Brad) High, Zak Kulich, Kaylee Kulich, Hailey Kulich, and Paige Kulich; great grandchildren, Joshua, Katelyn, Ava, Ellie, and Brayden; nieces and nephews; and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; son, Gary; two brothers; and nine sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held, 11 M, Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Steve Hulke presiding. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 PM to 7 PM at Boston Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Friday from 10 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow the service in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Wis.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Portage County Health Care Center for their compassionate care. Memorials may be made to the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Portage County or the Watson Institute for Autism. Online condolences may be made to www.bostonfuneralhome.net.
