The SPASH wrestling team squared its Wisconsin Valley Conference record at 3 – 3 with a 53 – 15 win over Wausau East at the SPASH Fieldhouse Thursday night.

The lone win for East came at 145 pounds with Ryan Daniel posting a 6-3 victory over Garret Kvatek. SPASH recorded 8 pins.

Dylan Koontz, currently ranked No. 1 in the state in the 120-pound weight class, pinned Kaign Reifschneider at the 2:42 mark wrestling at 126 pounds.

Brady Koontz, currently ranked No. 1 in the state in the 113-pound weight class, beat Ben Diny 17 – 2.

Other winners for SPASH were Cooper Behnke at 120 pounds (pin, 1:34), Justin Groshek at 106 pounds (pin, 1:12), Chance Bailey at 132 pounds (pin, 0:49), Dylan Trigg at 138 pounds (pin 2:21), Sam Molski at 152 pounds (pin, 0:56), Nick Wachowiak at 195 pounds (pin, 5:04), and David Lummis (pin, 0:26).

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Feb. 4 when they host the Wisconsin Valley Conference meet at the SPASH Fieldhouse. Action starts at 10 AM.
