Evelyn B. Moeschler, age 99, of Stevens Point, died peacefully January 25, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living in Stevens Point.

Evelyn was born Dec. 15, 1917 to the late Anton & (Johanna and maiden name) Smith in Stevens Point, Wis. She grew up there and attended the local grade school.

She worked at the Whiting Hotel as a waitress where she met her husband, Leonard Moescher. She worked part time as a clerk at H.W. Moeschler Store but then decided to dedicate her life to her family.

Evelyn married Leonard Moeschler on Nov. 26, 1942 at St. Stephen Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1994.

Evelyn will be remembered for her love for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother, always putting her family first. Evelyn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Annes Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed being a home maker; sewing, knitting and baking. She also enjoyed talking on the telephone with her sisters and friends.

She is survived by her son, Henry (Mary) Moeschler of Mosinee ; daughter, Judy Moeschler of Stevens Point; grandchildren, Samantha (Jim) Fox of Las Vegas, NV, William Moeschler of Milwaukee, Jessica (Jason) Zblewski of Stevens Point, Catherine Cooper of Stevens Point, and Thomas Cooper of Stevens Point. She is further survived by great-grandchildren, Irisa Cooper, Ariana Cooper-Shibilski, Caitlin Zblewski, Johnathon Zblewski, and Joshua Zblewski.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; five brothers; and two sisters.

A private family service will be held in the spring. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Online condolences may be made to www.bostonfuneralhome.net.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff members of the Brookdale memory unit.
