Local Parochial Schools Celebrate ‘Catholic Schools Week’

For the City Times
Catholic Schools Week kicks off on Sunday, Jan. 29 — and the local schools that make up Pacelli Catholic Schools have a flurry of activities and special days planned to celebrate.
Students kicked the week off by speaking at area parish masses this weekend, thanking parishioners for their prayers and financial support.
Highlights of the week include family pizza night and breakfast with grandparents at the early childhood center,
grandparents/special persons days at each elementary school, completing service projects for local assisted living
facilities, talent shows and weather presentations from WAOW’s weather team.
Events also include the traditional staff/eighth grade volleyball game, high school students volunteering at elementary schools, and a special mass for grades 5-12 held at Pacelli High School on Friday morning, among many other planned activities.
Book fairs will also be open at a few of the schools throughout the week.
