Twin brothers Brady and Dylan Koontz will wrestle at NCAA
Division 1 The Ohio State University and Samantha Danczyk will compete for the
women’s track and field team at NAIA Division II Viterbo University.
Meanwhile, the SPASH football team will send three players
to NCAA Division II programs, with safety/linebacker Keon’te Williams heading

Missouri State
and safety Joey Roth committing to Minnesota State University-Mankato.
Among the top Greco-Roman wrestlers in the country at their
weight classes, Brady and Dylan Koontz wrestled at SPASH for the first time as
sophomores, when Brady placed sixth at state at 106 pounds and Dylan was
fifth at state at 113.
Last season as juniors, Brady finished 43-1 and won the WIAA
Division 1 State Title at 106, and Dylan followed by winning the State Title at
113 to finish 44-0, and both will continue their careers with each other at Ohio State.
“We’ve had 18 years of training together so far, and we get
at least another four or five together,” said Dylan. “I’ve always looked
forward to going to college, and I’m just happy to be going, and I’m excited for
it.”
“It’s a great opportunity,” said Brady. “They’ve got a lot
of good guys, great coaches, and I’m looking forward to being able to get
better there.”
