Thaddeus A. ‘Ted’ Borkowski

Thaddeus Anthony “Ted” Borkowski, 77, Hancock, died Thursday,
Feb. 2, 2017, at his home.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb.
17, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Plainfield.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until
the Mass.
The Stahl Funeral Home of Plainfield assisted with

Mr. Borkowski was born June 5, 1939, in Milwaukee, a son of the
late Henry and Marie (Olecki) Borkowski.
He was married to JoAnn Madajewski June 18, 1960, in
Milwaukee.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958 to 1965.
He was a machinist at the OilGear Company for 43 years. He
also held the position of union steward and president during his tenure.
He was active in his communities and worked several years on
the Tichigan Lake Planning and Zoning Committees.
After retirement, he and his wife moved to Hancock.
He was active with the Knights of Columbus for 13 years,
achieving his Fourth degree. He attended St. Paul Catholic Church in
Plainfield, where he participated in the Finance and Building committees.
Since 2003, he was a member of the Town Board of Colburn in
Waushara County, serving as a supervisor and chairman.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn, Hancock; four children,
Teddy Jr. (Andrea), Ron (Ann), Julie (Jim Gruettner) and Sharon (Morgano); 10
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, George
Borkowski.
