Goetz Pleads Out on Child Sex Assault; Sentencing This Week
By Brandi Makuski
A former Wisconsin Dells man will be sentenced on Wednesday for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl last year.
Forrest Goetz, 31, has been behind bars since his March 5, 2016 arrest from a Forest Dr. residence in Plover, after a caller at the home reported a 12-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted.
Geotz pleaded no contest to third-degree child sex assault in December.
According to the criminal complaint, Plover police observed Goetz running from the residence when they arrived, noting he appeared “frightened and was crying”. A male relative of Goetz’ who reported the assault was also present, reportedly saying to Goetz that he “loves him but he could not let this incident go,” after Goetz was placed in handcuffs.
According to the criminal complaint, the girl awoke at 4 AM to find Goetz in her bed. The girl told police Goetz assaulted her after she repeatedly objected and told him to leave the room.
St. Michael’s Hospital wasn’t equipped to conduct exams on pediatric victims, according to the complaint, so the girl was taken to St. Clare’s Hospital in Schofield.
He returns to court for sentencing on Feb. 8 and remains in custody on a $15,000 cash bond.
