School District Launches New Website

For the City Times
The Stevens Point Area Public School District School unveiled new websites for each school, Boston School Forest and the district on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
The sites provide a uniform look and feel across the district, with consistent navigation and information that can be accessed quickly, and in many cases, with fewer clicks.
Users who prefer to use their mobile device will appreciate the responsive web design which automatically adjusts content depending on the device being used, allowing the information to be easily accessed from any technology device – computers, tablets and smartphones.
“We are very excited to share the new and improved websites with our school community and our greater community,” said Sarah O’Donnell, director of communication for the district. “We relied heavily on parent input gathered through surveys and parent-teacher-organization focus groups when considering where to place information that was sought quickly and we are excited to have a product that is much more user friendly.”
The new websites are part of an improved parent communication strategy for the district, including the addition of text alerts in January, a move to digital e-flyers in early February, and mobile app planned for launch in the spring.
