Peter A. Martell
Peter A. Martell, 60, Wausau, died unexpectedly from cardiac
arrest at his daughter’s home in Amherst Junction Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017.
A celebration of life will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb.
17, at The Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Wausau. A
private burial will take place at a later date at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in
Kronenwetter.
Visitation will be at Brainard Funeral Home in Wausau from 4
to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, and at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the
service.

Mr. Martell was born Aug. 29, 1956, in Wausau, a son of the
late Rita (Pigeon) and Norman Martell. He was a 1975 graduate of Wausau East
High School.
He was married to Linda Geier in June 1979 at St. Anne
Catholic Church in Wausau.
He worked many years at West Side Battery and Wausau Engines,
and was the co-owner of Wausau Engines from 2001-06. He had to retire early
while rehabilitating from the serious consequences of brain tumor surgery in
2005.
Survivors include his daughter, Tiffany (Austin) Everson,
Amherst Junction; three sisters, Mary Walters, Sacramento, Calif., Rita (Steve)
Kerswill, Weston, and Angel (fiance Mitch Simmons) Reynolds, Wausau; three brothers,
Paul (Cindy) Martell, Wausau, Jude (Sue) Martell, Schofield, and Jim (Linda)
Martell, Chippewa Falls; his former wife, Linda Pease, Lodi; and two grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Martell.
