Rita M. Stanchik

Rita M. Stanchik, 84, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Feb. 8,
2017, at Maple Ridge Memory Care in Plover.
A private family gathering will be held.

Mrs. Stanchik was born Feb. 25, 1932, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Marvin and Verona “Vernie” (Strike) Dalsbo. She grew up
here and attended local schools.
She was married to Daniel Malchow. He died Feb. 6 1979.
She was married to James Stanchik July 16, 1982, in Stevens
Point.
She worked as a dietician for numerous years at St. Michael’s
Hospital.
From 1983 to 2013 she and her husband, James Stanchik, owned
and operated Parkway Bar.
She was a member of the Tavern League of Wisconsin and the
American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, James Stanchik, Stevens
Point; three daughters, Sandra Kedrowicz, Stevens Point, Susan (Joel)
HugKuester, West Bend, and Mary Kay (Stuart) Austreng, Plover; two sisters,
Marie (John) Mallick and Dorothy Lodzinski; 25 grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ken Dalsbo.
