Northern Gateway Chorus invites guests, new members to join

To the Editor:

Is there a man you know, perhaps even yourself, who needs some social interaction and mental stimulation? Check out the Northern Gateway Chorus. We are a men’s group that has fun singing quality barbershop-style music. You don’t need to read music. Many of our singers learn by repetition, or “by ear.” And, our director, John Lay, is very effective in making the learning easy.

We meet at Harmony House, 3500 Harmony Lane, Stevens Point, on Monday nights. Our rehearsals are approximately two hours plus socializing afterwards for those that want to stay longer. During the winter months (standard time) rehearsals start at 7 p.m.

We invite any interested man to come be a guest on any Monday night. The singing is great. You may be surprised just how much you like it.

For more information on the Northern Gateway Chorus, you can contact me at 715-457-2801 or check out our website www.stevenspointbarbershoppers.com.
