Eileen V. Busa, age 88, of Stevens Point, died February 5, 2017 at Willow Brooke Senior Living in Stevens Point, Wis.

Eileen was born December 23, 1928 to the late Anton & Helen (Firkus) Kitowski in Mill Creek, Town of Linwood. She grew up here, attended the local schools, and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.

She married Clarence Busa. They later divorced.

She worked various jobs from tying flies for Weber Tackle, nurse’s aide for the Portage County Health Care Center, worked in the cafeteria at the Debot Center at UWSP to retiring as a line operator at Joerns Healthcare.

Eileen will be remembered for her hardworking, strong willed and independent nature. She had a love for crafting, especially knitting & crocheting, cake decorating, ceramics, and Christmas ornaments and stockings. Eileen also loved to test her luck at the casino or local church bingo hall.

She is survived by her children, Darlene “Buzzie” VandeVoort, Norm Busa, Pat (Grant) Larson all of Stevens Point; grandchildren, Craig Walkowicz, Jennifer Busa, Jessica Busa, Wesley (Anne) Larson, and Ashley (Lee) Brzezinski; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Hailey, Emmalynn, Cassidy, Gary, Caden, William, and one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her siblings include Bernadine Bergeron, Chet Kitowski, Ronnie Kitowski, and David Kitowski.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Melvin and sister, Adeline.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 27, 2017 at St Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Jerzy Rebacz presiding. Visitation will precede from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at the church. Burial will be held in Guardian Angel Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice. Online condolences may be made to www.bostonfuneralhome.net.
