David L. Zinda

David L. Zinda, 74, Amherst Junction, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Ministry St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher, with the Rev. Dan Hackel presiding. Burial with full military honors will be at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, with a rosary service at 4:30 p.m., and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the Mass.

Mr. Zinda was born July 5, 1942, in Stevens Point, a son of the
late Leo and Katherine (Keen) Zinda.
He was married to Judith Dombrowski July 10, 1965, at St.
James Catholic Church in Amherst.
He retired from the U.S. Navy.
He was employed at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
for 20 years. He was also employed by the U.S. Post Office.
Survivors include his wife, Judith “Judy” Zinda, Amherst Junction;
one son, David “Davy” Zinda II, Stevens Point; one daughter-in-law, Pamela
Zinda, Almond; six grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jody Sue
Zinda; one son, Thomas “Tommy” Zinda; two brothers, Gerald Zinda and Ben Zinda;
and four sisters, Ramona Gunsolley, Edwina Caldwell, Dorothy Zinda and
Bernadette Printz.
