Jerome Orin Dobbe, 80, Rosholt, the former owner of Rosholt
Super Market and Dobbe Meat Market in Rosholt, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2017.


A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April
12, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point. A private family burial will
be at later time.


Visitation will be at the funeral chapel from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
April 12.

Mr. Dobbe was born April 9, 1936, in Rosholt, a son of the
late Edward and Eugenia (Isador) Dobbe. He attended local schools and graduated
from Rosholt High School in 1954.


After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he
served for four years and was honorably discharged.


After service, he worked at Kroger Foods in Milwaukee.


He was married to Joyce Bucholtz in 1961 at St. Leo Church
in Milwaukee. She died Dec. 8, 2008.


They later moved to Rosholt, where they owned the Rosholt
Super Market until they opened Dobbe’s Meat Market, where he worked until
retirement.


During his retirement, he did logging, worked at Piggly
Wiggly as a meat cutter and later worked at Shulfer’s Garden Center.


Survivors include one son, Mark (Kay) Dobbe, Plover; one
daughter, Nadine (Mark) Rusch, Stevens Point; three brothers, Herbert (Helen)
Dobbe, Eugene (Shirley) Dobbe and John (Aileen) Dobbe; and one sister, Kay
(Lloyd) Stankowski.
