City Times Staff
The city has a new water superintendent
Eric Southworth, 32, took over recently for Gary Kuplic, the city’s former water superintendent who retired in January after 36 years with the city.
Southworth, a native of Elkhart Lake, graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a degree in natural resources and GIS. He interned with the city’s utility dept. for about eighteen months and began working for the city full-time in 2009.
“He’s a good guy, he’ll make a great water superintendent,” said Utilities Director Joel Lemke.
Southworth lives in Stevens Point with his wife. They are expecting their first child in May.
