Eleanor M. Everson, 97, Amherst, died Wednesday, Feb. 22,
2017.


A private family graveside service will be held at a later
date.


The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.hollyfuneralhome.com.


Mrs. Everson was born March 11, 1919, a daughter of the late
John and Selma (Boelter) Hetzel, the youngest of six children.


She was married to Norris Everson Oct. 9, 1940. He died in
1967.


They owned and operated the Sinclair filling station in
Amherst from 1948 to 1971. When her husband died, she continued to run the
station with the help of her son, John.


She was a skilled seamstress and spent many hours quilting with
the Do Group at Peace Lutheran Church.


Survivors include three children, John Everson and Larry (Nadine)
Everson, both of Amherst, and Ellen (Richard) Kominowski, Shiocton; five
grandchildren, Joan (Ken) Wisneski, Clintonville, Bobi (Al) Boyles, Amherst,
John (Kelly) Everson II, Amherst, David (Angie) Arneson, Seymour, and
Christopher (Bobbie) Arneson, Shiocton; and five great-grandchildren.


She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lyle, Lee
and Arden Hetzel; and two sisters, Irene Yates and Dorothy Gibson.
