Edward T. Mroczenski, 89, Athens, father of an Amherst woman, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Ministry St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Poniatowski, with the Rev. Thomas Huff presiding. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Edgar from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, with a parish rosary service at 7:30 p.m., and at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass.

Memorials may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church in
Poniatowski or a charity of one’s choice.

Condolences may be offered online at www.petersonkraemer.com.

Mr. Mroczenski was born Oct. 14, 1927, in the town of
Rietbrock in Marathon County, a son of the late Walter and Mary (Socha)
Mroczenski.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 until 1948.

He was married to Jacqueline Jagodzinski Sept. 16, 1950, at
Holy Family Catholic Church in town of Rietbrock. She died Oct. 6, 2007.

He was a dairy farmer in the town of Rietbrock.

Survivors include nine children, Colleen (Larry) Smith,
Amherst, Carol (Lynn Henrich) Mroczenski, Ron (Clarice) Mroczenski and Norma
(John) Borowicz, all of Wausau, Jerome “Jerry” (Linda) Mroczenski, Geralyn
Schug and Brian “Mert” (Laurie) Mroczenski, all of Edgar, Mark (Dawn)
Mroczenski, Athens, and Mary (Tom) Pliska, Scandinavia; two sisters, Adeline
Houf, Wausau, and Theresa (Don) Torner, Cudahy; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and
Florian Mroczenski; and four sisters, infant Leona Mroczenski, Lucy Matysik,
Mary Ann Westphal and Clara Wirkus.
