Jane S. Warner
Jane S. “Janie” Warner, 88, Stevens Point, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Atrium Senior Living – Point Manor.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jerzy Rebacz presiding. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. Thursday until the Mass.

Mrs. Warner was born Nov. 14, 1928, at the family home on
Water Street in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Somers)
Schoettel. She attended St. Stephen Catholic Grade School and graduated from
St. Joseph Academy in 1946.
She was married to Dale Warner Aug. 5, 1950, at St. Stephen
She worked for many years at McDonald Law & Abstract
Company and at Copps Corporation on the traveling inventory crew.
She was a lifelong member of St. Stephen Church and a
regular member of the church choir. She was also active with the Catholic
Daughters of America (CDA) and served on various committees throughout the
years. She also volunteered at the Portage County Health Care Center.
Survivors include her husband of 66-1/2 years, Dale; three children,
Linda (Walter) Hawkins, Altoona, Timothy (Catherine), Los Altos Hills, Calif.,
and Mary “Chris” (Gary) Litrenta, Rothschild; seven grandchildren; and two

brothers, Joey and Jake Schoettel; one sister, Mary Suplicki; and one lifelong
friend, Margaret Dineen.
