Henrietta Marie “Blondie” Adams, 92, Wisconsin Rapids, a former Plover resident and businesswoman, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017.

A prayer service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 2, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover, with the Rev. Ed Shuttleworth officiating. A private family burial will be held.

Visitation will be at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, and at the church from 1 p.m. Thursday until the service.

Mrs. Adams was born Aug. 17, 1924, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Harry and Verona (Groholski) Buza. She attended local
schools.

She was married to William “Willie” Adams Oct. 12, 1942, at
St. Bronislava Church. He died Jan. 4, 1991.

The couple settled in Plover and owned and operated Willie’s
bar for 18 years and Adams Excavating and Trucking for 19 years until
retirement.

She also worked at Normington’s, Nekoosa Paper Mill
and Preway in Wisconsin Rapids for several years.

She was a lifetime member of the St. Bronislava Rosary
Society and a former member of the Plover Library Board and Plover Area
Business Association.

Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn (David) Pryor,
Wisconsin Rapids; one sister, Lorraine Trierweiler, Marshfield; one
brother-in-law, Leonard Szymanski, Stevens Point; and two grandchildren,

She was also preceded in death by one son, William Jr.; one
brother, Chester Buza; one sister, Pearl Szymanski; and one infant
granddaughter.
