Laverna J. Flatoff

Laverna J. Flatoff, 76, Stevens Point, died Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Strawberry Lane Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Wisconsin Rapids.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover, with the Rev. Edward Shuttleworth officiating. Burial will be in St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Mill Creek.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass.

Mrs. Flatoff was born Sept. 3, 1940, in Marshfield, a
daughter of the late Edmund and Regina (Rader) Scipior. She was a 1958 graduate
of P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point.
She had been employed at McCain Foods Inc. in Plover for more
than 25 years until her retirement in 2012.
Survivors include four children, Larry Flatoff, Stevens
Point, Linda (Larry) Lemke, Plover, Karen Young, Wisconsin Rapids, and Sharon
(Dan) Mertes, Amherst; one sister, MaryAnn (Jerry) Dorshorst, Wisconsin Rapids;
one brother, Jim (Sharon) Scipior, Junction City; seven grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Sylvester;
and her twin brother, LaVern.
