Elizabeth E. “Betty” Schuster, 79, formerly of Pittsville, mother of a Stevens Point woman, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Pittsville, with the Rev. Robert Nelson officiating. Burial will be in St. Joachim Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass.

Contributions may be given to St. Joachim Church.

Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home in Pittsville assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.rembsfh.com.

Mrs. Schuster was born Aug. 22, 1937, in Marshfield, a
daughter of the late Louis and Irene (Gruber) Hoffman. She attended St. John
Parochial School and was a graduate of Columbus High School, both in
Marshfield.

She was married to Frank R. Schuster Aug. 20, 1960, at St.
John Catholic Church in Marshfield. He died Nov. 27, 2014.

Before the marriage, she worked at Northern Auto Supply in
Marshfield. After their marriage, she became a stay-at-home mother and managed
Schuster Enterprises. She also at Head Start in Cranmoore and Pittsville. Once
her children grew up, she worked at Wisco Auto Parts in Marshfield.

She was a den mother for Cub Scouts, a member of St. Joachim
Catholic Church where she taught CCD, was a member and former president of the
Parish Council of Catholic Women and a member and former president of the
Wisconsin Rapids Deanery.

Survivors include seven children, Anna (Frank) Johnson,
Pittsville, John (Janet) Schuster, Switzerland, Kathy (Ron) Stoltz, Stevens
Point, Kris (Roger) Theisen, Marshfield, Luke (Rita) Schuster, Cato, Mary
Schuster, Wisconsin Rapids, and Jim (Sheila) Schuster, Pittsville; and 11 grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph; four brothers,
Edwin, Raymond, Alois “Butz” and Robert Hoffman; and one sister, Marie Susa.
