UWSP’s Hermsen claims back-to-back National Titles with overtime win

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) senior Logan
Hermsen closed his college career by winning his second consecutive National
Title at the NCAA Division III Wrestling National Championships at La Crosse Saturday, March
11.
After winning the National Championship at 165 pounds last season,
the Amherst Junction native and former Amherst High School
wrestler advanced to the finals at 165 again Saturday, where he won 4-2 in sudden victory overtime
to bring home another National Title.
“It’s always good to end your career with a victory, ending
up on top,” said Hermsen, the sixth National Champion in program history. “It
was my goal since last season to win it again, and it just felt good to do it.”
