Franz S.J. Hirzy, loving husband of Jane Hirzy (nee
Grafenstein), died expectantly Saturday, March 18, 2017. Franz left this world
the way he lived his life, with class and dignity.

Mr. Hirzy was born June 9, 1936, in Stevens Point, to the
late Ferdinand and Isle (nee Schumann-Heink) Hirzy.

His career in public service spanned 40 years working for
the U.S. Department of Justice and the National Security Agency. Franz returned
to his home state in 2000 and settled in Brookfield.

Besides his wife, Jane, he is survived by siblings Tony
(Pat) Hirzy, Stevens Point, and Ilse Devine, Davis, Calif.

He is preceded death by his parents and siblings; Ferd,
Hans-Erick and Kathryn.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends
scattered throughout the United States and Europe.

His love for animals was unsurpassed, especially his
departed “pups” Stuart, Chuck and Bob. Therefore, memorials are appreciated to
Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS), 701 Northview Road, Waukesha, WI
53187-0834 or any animal welfare organization of your choice.

Per wishes of Franz, there will be no funeral services held.
