Nominations Sought for Wisconsin Home Health Care Nurse of the Year

For the City Times
Nurses play a critical role on the team of home health care providing patient care.
To recognize nurses for their significant contribution in offering patients with access to high quality and cost-effective health care, the Wisconsin Association for Home Health Care is now accepting nominations for its 2017 Wisconsin Home Health Care Nurse of the Year.
Home health care nurses show compassion using empathy when working with patients and families. They provide quality care using evidence based practice. They show accountability towards life-long learning. They also demonstrate a culture of patient safety and professionalism through collaboration with the health team.
The annual award is designed to recognize the outstanding skills and contributions of individual Wisconsin home health care nurses who are the heart of patient care. Recognizing an individual nurse allows WiAHC to honor nurses and their profession. Candidates for the award are individuals who have demonstrated excellence in the delivery of quality care.
The 2017 award recipient and nominees will be honored at the WiAHC Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel & Convention Center in Oshkosh, WI. The awards presentation is part of the WiAHC Spring Conference.
Nominations are being accepted through May 1, 2017. Visit the WiAHC website to nominate a home health care nurse today.
