Carl D. Ostricki

Carl D. Ostricki, 82, Stevens Point, died early Tuesday
morning, March 28, 2017.
He was born June 2, 1934, in Stevens Point, to the late
Stanley and Clara (Stepaniak) Ostricki.
He attended St. Peter Grade School and was a graduate of
P.J. Jacobs High School.
On July 7, 1959, his marriage to Jane Gingles took place in
Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, Canada.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1952 to 1958, having
earned the National Service Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Carl had worked as a turbine engineer at the Whiting-Plover
(later Kimberly-Clark) Paper Mill for many years before retiring.
He was a lifelong member of St. Peter Catholic Church and
his interests included attending farm and tractor shows. Having served on the
Great Lakes in the Coast Guard, Carl enjoyed the ships and traveling around the
Great Lakes throughout his life.
Survivors include his wife, Jane; children, Matt (Laura
Lauer) Ostricki, Laura (Michael) Jajewski, Lonna (Aaron) O’Keefe, Mark (Kelly)
Ostricki and Lisa (James) Stephani; son-in-law, Kevin Bemowski; grandchildren,
Stryder, Adam, Wessley, Aaron, Ryan, Jordan, Sara, Wyatt, Mariah, Sabrina,
Lucas, Logan and Zachary; and eight great-grandchildren.
Carl was also preceded in death by his daughter, Linda
Bemowski; and sister, Dolly Ostricki.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March
31, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. The Rev. Arul Joseph V. will
officiate.
Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation
will be in the St. Faustina Room of the church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m.
until the time for Mass.
